When my Mom emailed me this article, my first thought was “Wow, that was a big bird.” But really, it is about a crane and scaffolding collapsing while building a new dorm next to my old building. (In this diagram, it is the outlined building.) No students were killed, but it’s still tragic. And very surreal. When I lived there, the worst thing that happened outside the dorm was a vagrant headbutting passers-by.
i don’t understand why they can’t come up with a better casualty estimate than “at least three.” when it comes to something like that, you throw out estimates when the number is difficult to count, like “hundreds” (maybe there are many people in the hospital who are still touch-n-go…)
well, i’d hate to be potential death #4; they can’t finish the news report until i die or not die…
