I listen to soundtracks…a lot…
I just purchase the Stardust soundtrack from iTunes and have noticed that many of the tracks have drawn heavily (very heavily) from other soundtracks. I have noticed themes from Lord of the Rings, Coppola’s Dracula, Harry Potter, and even An American Tale. This theme-pirating is probably as overt as John Williams cannibalizing his own Hook soundtrack for the Anakin and Amidala love theme.
At the same time, it’s like a riddle. Name that tune!
